Tips on Decor for Your Child's
Room - There's More to it than Kids bedroom Furniture
If you're not sure where to start or how best to tackle updating
your kids bedroom, you're not alone. In a lot of families, the
baby
nursery takes a lot of planning and decorating time but there's
often less thought and energy put into decorating the same child's
room as they grow older. Although there is more thought than just,
"what kind of kids bedroom furniture should I chose."
Yes, bedroom sets are a part of it but there is also bedding,
theme, decorations, etc.
Ok, so a new bedroom set is usually a big part of it, I am just
trying to say
there is more to it than just bedroom sets.
When deciding on furniture there are a few decisions to make
the
type of bed would be a good place to start. Depending on the size
of the brood in a bedroom bunk or a regular twin bed would be
a good first decision to make. Then the correct sized mattress
is necessary. Now depending on the original furniture you purchased
you may need to shop for bedroom sets rather than individual pieces
like a bed and dressers. Kids furniture is really fun to shop
for
the choices are enormous
and some of them make me
actually wish I was a kid again
(Ugh!). Once you are finished
shopping for bedroom sets, the fun begins. The themes for childrens
bedrooms are pretty cool, ok, who is really psyched about the
choice, my child or me? Lets be honest, probably me. A kid just
doesn't have the ability to see the proverbial "big picture"
until the bedroom sets and decor is all in place.
You will need to select a color and theme the new children room.
Wall hangings is another necessity as far as I am concerned. Every
child should have wall hangings of some sort in their room. It
gives it that personal touch. The bedding
there are tons
of choices of sets and accessories for beds! Don't forget to give
the room a little personalization
pictures of family members
or framed art from your child are great finishing touches! Then
because your baby is not a baby anymore (sniff, sniff) you should
add a little comfort zone an area for girls to play dress up or
a place for boys to plays with trains and cars and an area to
cuddle up and read. See
there really is more to a childs
room than just beds or bedroom sets!
